Bad parking

Editor,

While the City of Hope Spectacular is a good cause and draws many people there are problems with it.
We went to Walgreens tonight to pick up milk and found only one parking space on their entire lot. The rest of the parking spaces that the city made them put in, in order to do business in this city was full of cars from people who were at the program. Shame on those who used a open business parking for this event. I told the employee that they should call the police and have the cars towed, but they said they couldn’t do that as it would have to be from corporate.

In the future, the city needs to use some of the city transportation that we the public are paying for and haul people from city parking lots in town to the event. There should never be a problem for a business that is open to have space for customers to park. This event cost Walgreens money, as customers could not park. I sincerely hope the promoters and the city take this into account for next year.
