More than a nurse

Editor,
About a year ago a nurse started seeing my great-grandmother. We liked her right away. She went above and beyond what all the others did. I remember one time when we didn’t know how to give a certain shot, here Rebecca came at 8 p.m. in her pjs to show us how.

She even comes just to visit and if we give her something to eat or drink, she offers to wash the dishes. The other day when she was here, we were looking at some books (they are 150-plus years old) and my mom said the only thing that would make her sell them is if our family was starving. Rebecca heard that and said, “If you guys ever have nothing to eat, call me and I’ll feed you!” We all thought that was sweet.

She also, after having a 10-plus hour day, called to sing “Happy Birthday” to my grandma! We all love her so much. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. So, now she’s not just our nurse, she is family. And I love her.
