Bank of the Sierra announced this week that Donald B. Kelly was named vice president-senior agriculture loan officer.
Kelly has more than 25 years in the ag industry, with 15 years in commercial-ag lending. His positions have included assistant vice president-loan officer, vice president-relationship manager, and assistant vice president-credit analyst-small business banker.
Kelly received his associate of arts degree from College of the Sequoias in Visalia and continued on at California State University, Fresno, where he received his bachelor of science degree in agricultural business.
“As a southern San Joaquin Valley native, Don brings a strong understanding of the local economy and particularly the agricultural industry,” said Harroll Wiley, ag credit unit manager.
“We are excited to have Don joining our Ag Lending Team.”
Bank of the Sierra is the largest independently owned community bank headquartered in Porterville. The bank serves 17 different communities with 25 branches, two ag centers and one SBA center.
