What is the human cost in smart meters?

When every home and business in Porterville has a smart meter transmitting our electric usage to a central unit, how many jobs will be lost? How many families will have to move elsewhere? What jobs beside meter readers are impacted by these meters?

If every house in Porterville now transmits data, via radiowave and or microwave, what are we exposing ourselves to? There are concerns regarding this exposure being raised by the American Academy of Environmental Medicine; they have called for a moratorium on the installation of smart meters, because of public health concerns.

What about the electric rate increase we hear about as well? What will we choose to do without to pay the higher rates if it comes to that?

How many ways will these meters end up costing us?
