Parolee arrested on suspicion of assaulting girlfriend
A 52-year-old Porterville man who had just been released from jail is once again behind bars for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
The Porterville Police Department reports that on Saturday, Waco McNutt was reported to have assaulted his girlfriend near Save Mart on Olive Avenue. McNutt reportedly fled before officers arrived.
At 6:13 p.m. Tuesday, officers went to a home in the sub-100 block of North F Street in an attempt to locate McNutt, who was also on active parole for assault with a deadly weapon and was recently released from prison, police said.
When officers arrived they contacted McNutt and took him into custody without incident.
While at the scene, officers also contacted 28-year-old Lacie Goodlett of Porterville and determined she was under the influence of drugs.
During a search of the home, officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia that belonged to Goodlett, the PPD reports.
McNutt was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and violation of parole. Goodlett was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug use.
Both were later booked into the Tulare County Jail.
