Four Terra Bella residents were arrested Thursday on charges of transporting marijuana and conspiracy.

Hernan Salazar, 18, Daniel Andrade, 18, Gerardo Araujo, 20, and a male juvenile, 17, were all apprehended by the Porterville Police Department.

According to the PPD, at 9:09 p.m, officers were sent to the Super 7 Market, 90 E. Olive Ave., for a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. When officers arrived the vehicle attempted to leave, but it was stopped. The suspects were all identified as gang members, and all except Andrade were on probation.

During a search of the vehicle more than an ounce of processed marijuana was found in the glove compartment. Since the occupants did not have a medical marijuana permit, they were all arrested.

The adults were booked into the Tulare County Jail and the juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility.
