Tammy Lea Idell

Tammy Lea Idell, a resident of Porterville, California, passed away on Friday March 14, 2008. She was born in Bakersfield, California on October 08, 1959. She was 48.


A service will be held on Friday March 21st at 10:00 AM at Glad Tidings Church in Porterville, California. Interment will be at Vandalia Cemetery.


Tammy was a talented painter and artist. She was vivacious and loved to meet new people. She loved her children and considered all her children’s friends to be her own. She had a smile for everyone who came in contact with her. Tammy worked for a number of years as a Director of Hospice in Tulare County. She also worked as a marketing director in the Western U.S. She loved the lord Jesus Christ and every day she would speak of his greatness.


Tammy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Rick Idell; Children, Amy Snell and her husband Aaron Snell, Jacob Cotner, Allyssa Idell and Andrew Idell; Grandchildren, Elijah & Jonah Snell; Mother, Alleen McKnight; Sisters, Tina & Husband John Scott, Patti & Husband Dill Shaw; Godchildren, Garrett and Morganne Burchell; Best friend, like a sister, Velvet Mayes. She is preceded in death by her father Leroy F. McKnight on March 12, 2008. She will be greatly missed by us all.
