Police looking for 2 men in home invasion
Porterville Police Department detectives are looking for two men involved in a local home invasion and robbery Tuesday night.
Officers said the incident occurred at a home in the 200 block of West Date Avenue.
According to a man at the house, he was home alone around 11 p.m. Tuesday, when he heard a knock at the door. He opened the door to find two men wearing ski masks, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The home invaders pistol-whipped him and used duct tape to tie him up before taking his cell phone and a PS3 player and fleeing.
The victim was able to free himself but feared leaving the home. He was unable to call for help because he had no phone.
When his roommate returned at approximately 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, the two called 9-1-1.
Detectives were summoned to the scene and took over the investigation.
During the investigation, detectives developed leads and are currently still investigating the case and seeking the suspects.
