Letter-To-The Editor: Medicare good for woman and her family
I have been very fortunate in having good Health Care for much of my life because my father was a Los Angeles policeman and was eligible for the first Health Maintenance Program in the country.
It was called the Ross-Loose Medical Group and was vilified by many as Socialized Medicine. However our family benefited from several surgeries and other treatments that kept us going throughout the Great Depression.
After that I was married to a man in the U.S. Navy and had Government coverage for myself and children. I now have Medicare and wish this is a blessing for all.
Call it whatever.
