Praises PHS booster club

I would like to take a little space in your paper to thank a wonderful group of people that I have been blessed to be a part of for the last four years. The Porterville High School 5th Quarter Club Boosters.

This group of dedicated, hard-working supporters of the PHS football program have accomplished some amazing things over the last few years and I want to thank each and every officer and member for their hard work.

I have been involved as a coach of youth sports for over 20 years and getting involved with this group has been one of the most rewarding times in my life. I know Monache High School now has a booster group, and I congratulate them on getting that started. I can only hope the other schools will join in and start growing their respective programs.

We all need to get involved with our youth and improve not only their lives but ours as well. For those of you looking to make a difference, get involved. You won’t regret it. It is hard work, but oh so worth it.

Thank you PHS for the memories and wonderful experiences.
