Get serious about West Nile virus

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

So who is going to ask the question, and who is going to give us some real answers? It seem like Porterville is the “breeding grounds” for lots of things that no one wants to take care of.

The Recorder has done many nice stories and photos on the West Nile story. The most recent one has only made it more clear that Porterville needs, very badly, a mosquito program and tougher city and county clean-up codes, and to keep them enforced.

I’m glad that someone from the Delta Vector Control District is finally out taking tests and just doing “surveillance” and providing the county with the information. I would like to know what they are going to do? What is the next step before it gets out of hand?

I hope The Recorder follows up on what will happen next — if anything.
