Thanks fire department

I live at the home where our truck caught on fire, so first and foremost I would like the Porterville Fire Department for keeping the damage to a minimum.

Now on to other things: Yes, I was home and so was my adult son when we heard a big bang. He went to check and came back in to tell me get out the truck and possibly the house was on fire and he had the dogs.

So, just as every grade school child learns when the alarm sounds you stop what you’re doing and calmly head for the exit. As I am disabled there were people there to help, but since I had already been told that 911 was notified I simply got out leaving my front door open for the firefighters.

Once again, thank you Porterville Fire Department for your quick response and thank you to my neighbors for dialing 911. I truly appreciate it.
