Suspicious death under investigation

Authorities are investigating a the death of an Exeter man found lying outside of his vehicle on Highway 65 Monday afternoon.

John Michael Malone of Exeter was found by a passing motorist lying face down along side Highway 65 at about 4:45 Monday afternoon.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department reports the man was lying next to an open drive side door of a vehicle The motorist stopped to assist and called 911. The victim was deceased at the scene and had signs of head trauma.
