Miscommunication
Editor,
“Miscommunication” is a catch all little word used only by administrators to explain away situations gone wrong.
Regarding the messy incident at the pumpkin patch, it falls well short of explaining a full blown “failure to communicate”.
We should be able to assume that five teachers with a field trip under their wing would be well schooled on how to deal with the big world in every situation they may encounter and to get a supervisor on the phone immediately when necessary, closed doors not withstanding.
They also should know the procedures for sending a letter home to parents.
That the Recorder should have known their story in the Wednesday paper didn’t help a bit, goes without saying.
