Disappointed in paper's position on Prop. 8

We were very disappointed to read the “no” recommendation on Proposition 8 in Thursday’s edition.

The Porterville City Council got it right when they supported this proposition. Webster’s Dictionary reads: “Marriage — the social institution under which a man and woman live as husband and wife by legal or religious commitments.” Of course, God’s word makes it quite clear that marriage is between a man and a woman and procreation is the result of this union.

Again, we are very disappointed in your recommendation and pray people will not be influenced by it.
