Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 6 PM at theâ¯Victory Outreach Church in Porterville and then funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 9 at 10:00 AM at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home Chapel in Lindsay for Alberto Cabello Ortiz, 67 who went home to be with his Lord on December 2, 2009. Interment will follow Friday’s chapel service at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery.
“Beto”, as he was known was born October 15, 1942 in Michoacán, Mexico to Jesus and Socorro Ortiz and was raised and schooled there. He came to California and to Lindsay in 1972 and worked as a farm laborer until his health no longer allowed him to do so. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar; gardening and raising vegetables. Beto loved fishing and also being in ministry. Just recently he helped establish the Victory Outreach Church in Strathmore “Alcansa Victoria” and was looking forward to being a part of the work there. He loved sharing his faith and beliefs with anyone who would listen.
He is survived by his wife Cirilda Ortiz; daughter Maria Elena Ortiz and step-son Lupe Herrera Jr. all of Porterville; step-daughters Helen Martinez of Lindsay; Annette Herrera of Vista; Donna Arias, Rachael Gutierrez and Sharon Ortiz all of Lindsay; Christine Lambarena Monica Camacho and Virginia Herrera all of Porterville; 28 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation for Beto will be held on Tuesday, December 8th from 12 until 7 PM at the Porterville Victory Outreach Church.
Webb-Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
