Daniel William Hogan

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

Daniel William Hogan passed away October 24 2009 in Porterville, CA at the age of 84.


Daniel was a native of Chicago, IL attending St. Alphonsus Catholic School. He graduated from Marrietta College in Ohio and Wichita State College in KS. Daniel was a teacher at Strathmore High School for over 30 years, previously teaching in WA. He was involved in many community and political organizations including Strathmore Lions, the Unitarian Fellowship and the Democratic Party. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army participating in the European Campaign and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge and the taking of the bridges on the Rhine River.


Daniel is survived by his wife Antonietta Hogan of almost 45 years. Children and their spouses; Daniel L. and Terri Hogan of Porterville and Jennifer and David Bourff of Meridian, ID, nephew Alex Hogan and spouse Victoria, 7 grandchildren, sisters; Patricia Fuller of Chicago, IL, Marie Methgen of Largo, FL, Jeanette Miers of Tucson, AZ and brother William Lounsbery of Port Orchard, WA.


Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28 from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Thursday, October 29 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at Whitehurst-Peters-Loyd Chapel.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Porterville on Thursday, October 29 at 2:30 pm.

All arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst-Peters-Loyd Funeral and Cremation Service, 195 North Hockett, Porterville. 559-784-6485.
