Building a bridge to the 19th century...

Several rodeo competitors appear in an original family Western movie, “Wild Hearts,” which is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. March 9 on the Hallmark Movie Channel.

Produced and written by Golden Globe-winning actor and director Ricky Schroder and his wife, Andrea, and directed by Schroder, the film also stars the couple and their four children. The coming-of-age story chronicles a renewed relationship between a professional horse wrangler who’s reunited with a sophisticated daughter he has never known.

Ryan Brown, a 2003 National Finals Rodeo bull riding qualifier, handled some of Schroder’s stunts, along with California High Rodeo Association champion team roper Jordan Warrack. Among other stunt crew participants were PRCA judge, bull rider and steer wrestler Allan Jordan and PRCA steer wrestler Jeff Danoff.

COYOTES OF THE WEEK
Matt Damon goes on a toilet strike to attempt to draw attention to a world water crisis. (Where the term “full of it” comes from.)

James Czywczynski is trying to sell a 40-acre fraction of the Wounded Knee National Historic Landmark on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to the Oglala Sioux Tribe. The land sits adjacent to a gravesite where about 150 of the 300 Lakota men, women and children killed by the 7th Cavalry in 1890 are buried, but tribal leaders say the $3.9 million price tag for a property appraised at less than $7,000 is just too much. The Sioux may take a Poll.

The Obama administration’s electric car efforts took another hit last week after a federal inspection found a South Korean advanced battery maker never scaled up U.S. production despite receiving $142 million in federal grants.

Many suburban Chicago police departments actually have clauses in their union contracts that prevent any kind of discipline for officers with substantial amounts of alcohol in their systems — even those nearing the state definition of legally drunk, an investigation by the Better Government Association an NBC Chicago http://www.nbcchicago.com/investigations/Many-Suburban-Cops-Allowed-To-Work-Half-Drunk-191296021.html  reveals. Some Democrat signed that contract.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is speaking out against a cut in congressional pay because she says it will undermine the dignity of their positions. Forsooth!

SAYIN’S
“One person with a belief is equal to a force of 99 who have only interests.”  — John Stuart Mill.
Send us a sayin’ or quote and if we use it, we’ll both be surprised.

CAMPAIGN ’16
Rahm Emanuel, former Chief of Staff for Obama and current Mayor of Chicago (some think illegally) may run for President in ’16 if Hillary doesn’t (and if Obama has agreed to abdicate).

COWBOYS & RANCHERS
ADVISORY PANEL
Got my pickup financed by GMAC a few years ago, and it changed into ALLY. They sent me a form to choose privacy considerations, and I tried to fill it out on their web page with no luck, so I called ‘em and got the run around, so I did a little research and found out that the US Treasury owns 73.8 percent of ALLY and George Soros’s outfit owns over 8 percent of ALLY. George is the extreme liberal who wants a one world government and no guns. How did this happen? Obama, when he bailed out General Motors divied it up how he liked is my guess. I sent ‘em a snotty email and they called me (from the Phillipines) to sort it out. Job creation at it’s best. Watch out for these coyotes.
