Hospitalized man reports assault

EARLIMART—A man being treated at the Delano Hospital told authorities Sunday that he had been allegedly assaulted with a deadly weapon.
Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the emergency room at about 1:50 a.m. to speak with Pixley resident Guillermo Alvarez.
Alvarez, 19, told the deputies that unknown subjects assaulted and stabbed him, causing non life threatening injuries, authorities report.
