Stolen ATVs recovered from armed men in Poplar

POPLAR — An investigation into two stolen all terrain vehicles led to the arrest of Brandon Gonzales, 32, and Charles Walker, 25, who were allegedly found with firearms at about 12:50 p.m. Tuesday.

A firearm with altered serial numbers was located at the 18952 Avenue 144 residence where detectives served a warrant in the course of the investigation.

Walker was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.

Gonzales was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with altered serial numbers, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm while being under the influence of a controlled substance.

The estimated value of the recovered vehicles was more than $11,000.
