Man arrested on suspicion of domestic violence

Juan Almendarez, 35, was arrested early Monday following reports of a domestic disturbance.

According to the Porterville Police Department, the victim reported being physically assaulted by Almendarez and sustained visible injuries as a result of the occurrence, but did not require medical attention.

Police located Almendarez inside the victim’s residence and was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
