Horatio Alger Scholarship to benefit three local seniors

Three of the 38 individuals chosen as Horatio Alger Scholarship recipients are from Porterville.

Julianna Noone and Milton Ramirez from Granite Hills High School, and Maria Cabrera, Porterville High, are among the recipients. Each one 0f them will receive $5,000 towards college.

The Horatio Alger Northern California Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students in California who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and aspire to pursue higher education.
