Adoption event slated for Saturday
Porterville Animal Control is hosting a Spring Adoption Event on Saturday.
About 15 dogs — already groomed — will be waiting behind the City of Porterville Cooperation Yard for potential owners.
According to Angela Bera, a volunteer with the Porterville Animal Rescue Team, there will be a variety of dogs available, including mixed and pure breeds. The event will be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 20 at 1265 W. Grand Ave.
“There are many animals out there that need loving homes, our goal is to help those animals that do need help,” she said. “We just love to find them forever homes.”
Puppies will be on sale for $70, while adults will cost $120. With the purchase of a dog, comes a free spay and neuter certificate.
A $50 refundable deposit will be required, and will be returned when the dog is spayed or neutered.
